Skirt Runner

I said on FB that it was probably the best run of my life, but now that I think about it, it was absolutely the best run I've ever had, even better than my first "hey, I actually like running" run.  My fastest 10 miler ever, but it was unbelievably smooth, felt like I was just gliding along the whole time.  It was the quintessential perfect run.  Big grin

Nice, Dtothe2nd! That's awesome. Isn't it great when the running gods smile upon you and grant you one of those perfect runs? I'm glad I asked how it went!

I did a short recovery 2 miles about an hour ago and then stretched some. I'm still shocked that I feel so good after yesterday's 10. I wasn't even sore today! I hadn't done a long run in almost 2 weeks, and I was starting to see myself as Tashia, the Pregnant lady rather than Tashia, the runner who happens to be pregnant. I think part of it is the fact that I'm leaving the hellacious first trimester. But the past two runs have brought me back to myself, and it feels good.

      Running for two!

D2- Congrats on the best run (so far!)!

kitteh- Glad you're feeling more like yourself.

Well the rain cleared up and I went to the social run.  My usual running partner was there.  We're very evenly matched, I think, and both always think we're holding the other back, so we end up running fast.  This week we did 5.22 at 8:52 pace!  It felt fast, but honestly not that fast.  We were fast enough that we were finally close to the main pack of the running club rather than way behind.
