What do you do with your bibs? (Read 386 times)

@runjerseygirl

    Folio?  Wallpaper?  Scrapbook?  Trash?

I'm thinking about doing a simple scrapbook with my bib, and a few pictures from each race.

What do you do with yours?  I'd love to see pictures if you have them. Smile

    Do you even run?

    Just B.S.

I am a long time scrapbooker (I used to get published a lot in the scrapbooking magazines). I  have about 30 of

our 100 races made into scrapbook pages so far as I only find the time to scrapbook about once a month in

the last few years. I used to do work for some of the magazines and get published a lot but I haven't done that

      in a few years.

The bibs go on a jump ring with the name/date/finish times and a finish line or "after" photo of the race on the back.

I write the date and the finish time on the back and stash them in a drawer.  Not sure what I'll end up doing with them beyond that.

I used to write the date, name & distance of race, & my time on the back & save them.  Then my cat found them.  Enough said.

Beth, you are so crafty! What beautiful memories you are immortalizing!

I used to just have my bibs all scattered around the house, between bills, books, etc... until recently, when my SO took it upon himself to hang them all up in the garage. So now, when I run on my TM, I can view them and remember each race. It makes my run more fun somehow. I am missing my fist marathon bib, the one that I did not finish, because they ripped it off of me at the hospital when I had the stroke and I was unconscious. My SO had written on the back of it, before the race, the contact info in case of an accident (always remember to do that, people!) and also, "careful with her, she has a bad temper".  The nurses laughed when they read that. ...LOL... I wish I still had that bib...

I put them in a gallon size ziploc bag.

              In transit, arriving on time.

I hang them in my office at home and there are a couple more since this photo was taken. I also have a few other running related items like race posters up as well.

I haven't gotten around to doing anything with them yet, but my plan is to write the name of the race, the date, the distance, and my finish time on the back and put them in a race bib binder thingy. (Yes, that is a technical term.)

I've just been tossing them in a drawer. I'll do something with them eventually.

In the words of my late-coach : Just hang in there, relax... and at the end of a race anyone you see.....just pass them

I've kept a few and tossed them in a drawer, but at least 90% of them go in the trash.

Mine are going into a large Tupperware container until I decide what to do with them. I put date, time, AG place, OA place, and name of race if it's not already on there.

I have no idea.  I have around thirty, and they are all over the place.

There was a time when I could associate the bib number with the race but now, unless the race is printed on them I cannot.

I will likely do something with them someday.  But, being the procrastinator that I am, someday will likely never come.

So far, I've just kept the bibs from from races I place in(3rd or better, AG , gender, OA). I write my time, placing, and date with race name & info and hang them on my medal hanger.

I have a Bibfolio that my wife got my after my marathon this year. I note the date and my time on the back and whether it was a PR. Keeps em together and not all over my house.

Fuzzy: I like the look of that... Very nice. I will likely do something like that, but in my garage. As for now, I have the dates, event names, and finishing times on the back of my bibs. They are attached to a metal ring. The few medals I have are in a drawer. I like to keep that stuff, I'm just not sure why.
