2XU HM - 29 Mar
1. Sub-4 marathon with strong finish 2. Quick recovery to get back into regular training

1. Meh. 4:06; strong is a strong word for the kind of finish I had, but improved anyway - 6 min positive split vs. 16 min last time.
2. Well, yes & no. Minimal residual soreness, seemed to be getting back into it nicely. Then injured 1.5 weeks later, seemingly unrelated but who knows. Now sidelined & pissed off.

I signed up for 26.2 yesterday so want my long runs to get done. My minimum mileage has to be 150. I'm adding 1 10 mile run in the beginning of the week, and hope they work out. I'm running a mile late in the month and hope to beat 7:05.

All were met except the last one. I ran 191 this month most in years, but my mile ended up being 7:14. My 5ks have been faster this year than the last 5, but I had no clue on pacing for my mile attempt. I may try again in Aug.

My main goal is to continue my rehab without having any setbacks. It'd be nice if I could: -Run 100 miles -Introduce a little speed to my runs -Hit double digits on some runs -Run a decent 10K on June 23 -Get all restrictions lifted when I see my knee doc for the final time on June 25 -Not die

-Ran 173 miles
-Done.
-Had runs of 10 and 11 miles
-New PR
-Not all restrictions lifted, but I can road run as much as I want
-The month ain't over yet!
All things considered, I had a FANTASTIC month.

My running blog
Goals | sub-18 5k | sub-3 marathon 2:56:46!!
OK, so I didn't post in this thread at the beginning of the month to set out some goals, but apparently I'm not letting that stop me from commenting on whether I accomplished them.
If I had commented, my goals would have been:
1- Get out of my running rut; start running more consistently and logging my mileage (done)
2- Follow the training plan; hit at least 90% of scheduled runs (done)
3- At least 150 miles (done, 170 for the month on the dot).
All in all, this has been my best month since my March marathon. I finally feel like I'm out of my rut, and am feeling enthusiastic about running and training.
Wickedly Average
Dang it, I forgot to set goals for June. Maybe next month...
I did run a respectable 10 mile race and covered around 90 miles for the month.
It was a good month, I guess.

I didn't write down any goals for June because I was in such a funk after having a shitty running month in May, so I went into it without expectations, I just wanted to do better.
I did! In May I ran less than 30 miles. After a slow first week in June, I still capped off the month with an all time high monthly mileage of 66 miles

Stretch goal of 150 miles running, will be tough but is do-able. Hit all 8 Quality workouts per the training plan. 8 hours + on the bike Keep up the swimming, log at least a couple of miles over the month. No racing until July for me.

Failed to hit 150. Heck failed to break 100 for a variety of reasons
Got 4/8 quality workouts
Missed the bike goal
4.6 miles swimming. A life time monthly PR for that at least

This is my June balance:

2. Reached, but I'm very tired...
3. Reached. I run 188,6km in June
