I just got a haircut and left the salon with bangs. I'm talking thick, below eyebrows, straight across, legit bangs. My old, long side-swept bangs were super easy to pin back. These, not so much. Yesterday I found myself cursing at them with each method I tried. Twisting them to the side meant fly aways and the fear that it would work its way loose. Headbands left my hair sticking out awkwardly or wouldn't stay in place. Leaving them down would just be gross. I'm far too sweaty for that! What do you do with yours?

You're lucky you can pull those off! I either wore a wide headband, or I bought big bobby pins to pin them down. The other option that sometimes works is to work the bangs into a French braid crown (starts at the part of your hair and runs down the side of the forehead).

hat
I wear a headsweats cap, and tuck my ponytail out the back of the hat. I squish my bangs up onto my head and put the hat over them.

I pull my bangs straight back and use 2 Goody snap clips to hold them in place. I still wear a headband to keep little flyaways (on the sides) from my face, but the clips do the trick for my bangs.

When I had them, I also used those Goody snap clips to clip them straight back. That always worked the best for me.

I guess I'll have to resort back to those. I haven't used those kinds of clips since probably middle school or early high school! Bobby pins just aren't cutting it during an intense workout. My quest for a new headband shall continue.
GOODY SNAP CLIPS FTW!!
I totally had the wrong idea from the thread title.
Before I read the post, I was like....women with bangs....they totally get a wink and a head nod.

Skullcap, like football players wear under their helmets. Incredibly light and stretchy and breathable, I wear one every morning just so I don't have to brush my hair. I don't have bangs per sey, but long layers. They don't all make it to the ponytail, so I wear the skullcap in the morning or a halo headband when I run later in the day/on weekends.

Didn't the cave men use bangs to grab ahold of, when they clubbed the women to drag them back to the cave? Or am I thinking of something else?

I've had bands since HS. That was, oh, decades ago. That said, I use the Goody snap clips. If it's too hot for a hat, I'll use a thin rubber band that goes around my whole head. The kind that you see teenagers wear. That pulls the bangs back and then I snap on the clips. It pulls the hair off the face and holds the bans back. This was also before my hair was long enough for a pony tail. It's grown out now and I still do that with the P-tail. Works well. Bangs are a pain with working out, but they look great. :-)

I wear a visor, even at the gym, JUST because of the hair.

I bobby pin them back and wear a visor. But mine aren't very thick.

I have a thick headband that works well, plastic, not the spongy ones, those never stay on my head, Or I take them in front like I'm going to do a ponytail with them and twist them then clip them back on the top/front of my head.
I knew someone would go there. Tsk tsk.
