Absence does make the heart grow fonder.

I ran 6.6 in the muggy mid 60s.  It feels like summer out there.

      Have a great day!

      No more marathons

Schedule calls for 2 X 2 miles at 15K and then 10K race pace.

This my be my last noon run - I probably lose my shower room after today.  FFS.

The strangest thing is happening today:  The sun is shining!  HOORAY SUNSHINE!  So I've basically got the next three days off leading into Sunday's race.  I've got very short, low intensity workouts until then.  And race day weather now says the rain will hold off until later in the day.  Sweeeeeet.

          From the Internet.

6 miles for me. I wanted 8 but I got home around 10 last night from the middle school championship meet, and just couldn't drag myself out of bed when my alarm went off.

I did it! 8 miles before work.  Except I forgot shower sandals and now I probably caught some awful foot disease.

Ran 2.75 at Orange Theory between 3-7% incline (FFS).  Pilates and maybe 5 recovery miles later.

I've done that. I just try to tiptoe around to minimize contact surface area. Now you are going to start joining us in talking about disgusting things people do in the locker room.

5 with 6 strides. Another roll out of bed run, on top of taper legs, so went as expected.

That's good to hear LRB, that you're going to try and run today.

I woke up this morning, much less sore today than even yesterday so that's good. Yeah I am never going to do that many sets again... at least not this early on since I am only starting to focus on the glutes and legs.

I hit the gym for arms and chest. And I added the Captain's Chair for hanging leg raises or whatever for the abs.

Then I took some progress pics to record how things are coming along.

Later this evening, I'm going to probably take Dorian and the dogs for a walk and see how things feel. I'm sure Jetta won't be happy with it, last time I took them for a walk she kept barking at me, jumping on me and just giving me this look like "are you freaking kidding me..... we are walking? Seriously???"........... yeah that dog hates walking.

I caught it on my right foot once, it was awful.

I had a plantar wart on the ball of my right foot a while back. No idea how I got it. It made it kind of uncomfortable to walk around barefoot on hard surfaces, although no problem with shoes on & no effect on running. Mostly just annoying. I tried every cure in the book, nothing made it go away. Until eventually it just went away on its own. After about a year and a half.

I didn't have any idea how I got it either; work gym, pool or somewhere else. Mine was some type of rash on the top of my foot. I bought some creme and it went away. But yeah, icky.

That was one instance out of thousands. I don't take sandals to work actually (I got enough shit to carry), I walk on my running clothes when I get out of the shower.
