      What up doe.

Playing around with my stupid shin this morning and I have no pain at all emanating from the bone, it's coming from the flesh.  I cannot see Dr Bone fast enough!

      Anyway, I am hungover. lol

        4.1 for me

LRB like I said yesterday X-rays aren't always definitive. See what the doc says. They could be old or not even really there.

No running, no gym today... complete rest as I think my body needs it.

            Maybe drinking cured it.

Yes, I saw it. Thank you for the sliver of hope. That's all people such as myself need. lol

How long do stress fractures show on an xray?

Well from what I understand they usually only show up on x-rays after they heal or if they are severe. I ran four consecutive days after the initial swelling and had no issues landing one-legged off a curb in stride or hopping up onto one.

All of my discomfort thus far seems to come from flesh and muscle, not the bone itself.

Yep, wine is to me what Windex is to Greeks.

And, good luck tomorrow Docket!  I would stalk you but I'm pretty sure it will all be over by the time I wake up on the West Coast.

'Morning.  I ran.  20.6 miles at 8:01 pace.  One mile into the run I was thinking "Fuck, I'm tired.  This is going to suck."  I managed a decent run though, considering how damn gassed my legs are.  I'm tired.

76 miles for the week.  Marathon training complete.  Time to taper.

Rick, I'm no doctor, but doesn't it sound more like it's the membrane that's affected? Maybe inflamed? Are you icing it? I hate not knowing what is the cause of injuries... how are we supposed to prevent them in the future? And it seems like 4 specialists will have 4 different explanations for you... Damn it.

I realized that my week was turning into a low mile fiasco yesterday, so I ran 12 at what is now my pathetically slow MP. Today, I will run 2 short recovery runs. And tomorrow is a LR. I really want to start marathon training in June with a 4 month 60+ mile base in my legs. One of the runners in my running group suggested that since I now have difficulties with short 5k speed intervals due to my damaged lungs, replacing that with higher mileage plus more tempo and MP miles could be an adequate solution for me. So I will be trying that. It's just so damn time consuming...
