I can see the weight loss, great job!

I agree that your approach to weight loss (slow and steady) is the best way. When people lose weight due to extreme diets/limitations, they gain the weight back as soon as the limitations are gone. By making one or two lifestyle changes at a time, the change has a better chance od becoming a real, long-term change.

If you haven't been paying attention to portion that mailing that change will help iwith your future weight loss.  I look forward to seeing where you are in another six months.

.... You can't tell the weight loss much from looking at me, but so much has changed. .......

I'm only 6 months into my journey, and I wanted to thank everyone for the support they have given me. The answers to my many, many questions, and the encouragement.

I'm not sure what kind of mirror you are looking in.  There is an obvious difference in your before & after photos!  Keep up the hard work!!  Congrats.

Great job, Coralie!!! Big grin  It won't be long now 'til you reach Onederland - I've been there and can't express what a great feeling that is. Keep up the great work.

Wow, that's a remarkable change. Keep up the good work!

And for most of us, I'd say it is okay to eat everything (that way you get all the nutrition), but not over eating, especially on a daily basis. i.e. establish a regular healthy eating habit. Good luck.

          Sloooow.

Great job, Coralie!!! Big grin  It won't be long now 'til you reach Onederland - I've been there and can't express what a great feeling that is. Keep up the great work.

I was just talking to my partner about that, he asked what I'm going to do when I get to 199. I have no idea, I can't even imagine. The whole pounds thing was a new concept to me anyway. I was only in the US a few months before I got pregnant and my weight rocketed up. Before then, I kept my weight in stones (I was about 13 1/2 stone when I got here).

Last year, I tried Atkins diet for a week. I "lost" 7lbs. I gave up after that week, and the next week I had gained 8lbs back. I took 6 days off from running a couple of months a go, and I didn't gain anything back. My hope is that losing slow and steady, will keep my weight going down.

              Touching!

Many of us have been there, and we couldn't "see it" either.  Scales and and mirrors are cool, but the true measure of weight loss is the fit of your clothes.

Don't get too caught up on the numbers or the image.  It's all about the clothes, and that takes time.  In my case for instance, I weigh more now but with a smaller waist, than I did way back when.

Congrats on what you have achieved so far, but the road to true fitness is a marathon, not a sprint.  And to that I'll say you're doing it right!

Great work!  I think that by losing at a more gradual rate, we are building the skills that we need to keep the weight off over the lone haul.  Those who lose more quickly might make more progress, but are they learning the tools of living healthy?

It sounds like you are already doing great things for your health!  Way to go!

                      No more marathons

Something else to consider - many of us started running to lose weight and have progressed to losing weight so we can run better.  Keep it up - the journey is worth it.
