    Rungry!

      Nice, congratulations!

I know how you feel, lol. I  usually get one if I'm the only one there in my AG, lol.

I know what you mean, Scotty. I placed 1st in my AG last weekend....of course there were only two of us Roll eyes  But a win is a win, right?

That's what I always say! I'm beating all the other 50 something broads who are at home watching

        morning TV' shows.Big grin

I got my first Overall win last summer at a duathlon, 1st in AG and 3rd overall. I cannot tell you how

sweet it was to stand looking at the leaderboard and here some 20's something young thing say "I can't

believe I got beat by a 50 yr old". That was almost better than the trophy!LOL

Great job F.S., congrats! I agree a place of great prominence!!

Lol Lee, I'll try to give it all I got but I have a feeling there might be more at this weekend's race.

February's 5k was 28:29, the Hope in Motion 5k that was at the end of April I would put around 27 minutes as I got confused and finished at like 2:36 miles instead of 3.1, tried running the rest by myself but made it to 2.86 when I finally said screw it and my Garmin said 26:something (can't think off the top of my head) so I figured with less than a quarter or so of a mile left it would have been around 27:30 or less.

Thanks again all, I am bugging DH to get me a shelf up on my running wall (which is not as big as it looked a year ago).

Cool You think I could win me another trophy of some sort this Saturday? I'm going to try, can't make any promises though as I don't know how many women there are and how many people will be in my age group.

Isn't it perdy! Maybe I can get lucky and win another trophy this weekend, not going to hope for a 1st place but I will definitely stay for the awards. Force DH to count the people that cross the finish line before me, if it's less than 50 I will stay.... lol.

Cool You think I could win me another trophy of some sort this Saturday?

Good question.  You just might, but understand there are many highs and many lows in running.  For most of us, most of the time it's low.  Shit, it took me 13 months to break a PR once.

I therefore go by the Double E Rule; Enjoy the good times, & Endure the bad ones.

                              That is awesome!

I will do my best, but I won't expect anything. I am just ecstatic that I won 1st place once.
