Dad on the run.

LRB - Enjoy that run man! Glad to see you back at it.

I took yesterday as a complete rest day, came home lastnight we fixed up hotdogs since that's something easy and after we put EK to bed we watched White House Down. Decent flick.

This morning I fought with myself for about 15 min on getting up and going to the gym or doing it tonight. By that point I had woke myself up to the point I couldn't go back to sleep so I just got up and went. Legs and Back. Legs are going to be really sore tomorrow I'm sure. Leg extension, leg curles, calf raises, walking lunges and squats. I'm working on getting my squat weight up, right now its pretty pathetic. I started with 95lbs 12 times and ended with 155 for 4 reps. Would like to get up in the 300 lb range but afraid this might hurt my running more than help. Back consisted of rows, lat rows and laying overhead raises (not sure what these are really called)... Tonight I will probalby just do a core routine with some stretching and icing the leg.

To the Gym after work with the DW and a few miles on the mill. LR tomorrow....going for 6.

      Happy Friday everyone!

        0. If my stomach hadn't gone wonky between 2am and 4 I'd have run. But decided it was best to not be running and have stomach issues.

          Barking Mad To Run

Yeah Damaris, but we get some actual cold weather at times.  I prefer it to be consistently warm all year round.  Enjoy the kickboxing tonite.

Good luck with the pre-taper long runs, Jack!

Wishing all the best for your friend, Hobbit!

Hope the shoes work for you, Dave!

Sounds like an active weekend for you, Ric!  You need to throw some 'nap time' somewhere into that schedule.

outoftheblue, you know why a chicken coop has only 2 doors?  Cuz if it had 4 doors, it would be a chicken sedan!  Wink  Enjoy the egg and the future eggs!

Well, you made it out the door and to the gym, Jimmy, so good for you!

Good luck with the long run, Sparker!  Will that be done on the TM too?

Probably a smart move, Marjorie.  Hope you feel better in no time.

I ran!  8.3 miles at 8:04 pace.  The reflective vest and headlamp are in full effect.  What's up with the 61 degree weather today?

You run with a light?  How's that work?  I do not, but the streets are pretty well lit.

That weather is coming our way and cannot get here soon enough!

Well, it's a headlamp.  It goes on my head.  When it gets dark, I turn it on to see the road in front of me.  Cool  I run on the rail trail a lot.  There are no lights on it.  My headlamp is 200 lumens.  Dare I say it's a little obnoxious it's so bright, but IDGAF.

Rather than wait to see what it is, I would haul ass the other way if you were coming towards me on the trail wearing that thing!  lol

I am actually aware of its brightness and try to keep my head down when folks on the trail are coming at me.  I have knuckle lights too that I use when it's completely pitch black out.

I am actually aware of its brightness and try to keep my head down when folks on the trail are coming at me. But yeah, I have toys up the wazoo when it comes to running.  No brag, just fact.
