    Well hello there!

     

    I have an 80 to 90 minute run on tap, the actual length of which will be determined on the fly and according to pace.  I am thinking 10 or 11 miles.

     

    Good luck to D 'shizzle over in Chicago and all our other racers today!

      Rest day for me. Going to the fair near my parents' house with my mom and kid, leaving the kid there overnight (at my parents' house, not the fair!).

                  'Morning.  Boy, I feel like hell today.  Headache, cough, sneezing, runny nose.  You know, a cold.  Why do I have to explain this?  DW is going for a long mountain bike ride today and I am jealous.  Four hours in the woods would probably be a bad idea for me.  It's going to be hard to sit around the house today...it's going to be beautiful outside.  Meh.

                   

                  Feeling pretty good about my race yesterday though.

                        Sounds right on.  80 will take me 10 typically.

                        8 this morning for me , finally had a cool front blow in should be nice.

                          Hope D is having a blast right now.

                          My second 20 miler done, and the final good, long run done. I am currently looking very much forward to this dreaded taper, my butt cheeks hurt, my legs are sore and I am starving.

                          This morning's run almost didn't happen, only 5 hours of sleep and just tired, from the very beginning it sucked major. But I persevered and kept moving, and at many points I had doubts of running 26.2 miles but then it dawned on me.........

                          If I can run these long, 3+ hour runs by myself, in sometimes sucky, horrid weather or when I am just feeling lifeless......... then by fucking god I can run 26.2 miles with a crowd of runners damn it.

                            Some miles are on tap for me while DD2 is at swim practice. Nice and easy, that's right.

                              The knee that I fell on & banged up on Friday was really painful during Saturday's run. So I am going to play it safe for at least a few days & hope it's nothing serious.
