    A day for rest. You?

    Cyberic

Rest day for me too. I'll be driving up north to see my parents for a couple of days. Hopefully I'll be able to use the indoor track at the university for tomorrow's repeat session. If not, I'll have to skip the session and just run.

      Mmmmm...beer

Back on the wagon this week!  Took a few days off to visit my brother, the rest was nice, but I need to get back to work. Smile

        11 miles this afternoon.

          A day for rest. You?

+2, but of the unscheduled kind. Will probably take a few. My knee was super painful just walking around the rest of the day Saturday after my ill-advised LR, and as well on Sunday. A bit better this morning. Seriously re-thinking my spring plans.

Good morning, special snowflakes.  BRING BACK THE WEEKEND!

Sure it snowed last night, but today is looking like the nicest day we've had in weeks.  I've got to run for an hour after work and may be able to do it in just a long sleeve tech shirt.

Morning!  I have Pilates class and 7 miles tonight.  I am also getting my allergy shot and I hope the bad reaction I got last time does not repeat this time.

LRB, enjoy the well deserved rest day.

Cy, nice run yesterday.  Enjoy the rest.

              D2, enjoy the 11.

                Good morning, everyone.

Rick, thank you for starting today's thread. Have a relaxing and refreshing rest day.

Cyberic99, have a safe trip. Enjoy your time with your parents.

                Dave, have an excellent eleven-miler.

DaveP MI, I hope that resting alleviates your knee discomfort.

                Phil, have a pleasant run.

                Damaris, enjoy Pilates and running.

Yesterday evening, I managed 22:30 on the TM at 6.6 mph (9:05) before I have to slow to a brisk walk. (That's what I get for eating a large meal less than an hour before going to the gym.) I also did weights for my thighs, glutes, shins, and calves.

This morning, I did 52:07 on the TM, the first 35:00 of which were at 6.6mph (9:05). I did the last 17:07 at 4.1mph (14:37).

After work, I have a neck alignment. At home, I'll use my free weights to work my chest, shoulders, back, triceps, and biceps, before doing push-ups and abs.

Of course, before returning home to work out, I'm visit my dad.

                Barking Mad To Run

Rest day for me today and, since it's payday, also Mother's Day for me.....pay this mother, pay that mother.....

Did my 9th race of the year on Saturday, a 5K on a cold and wet day.  Report and photos:   http://www.runningahead.com/groups/BF_and_Beyond/forum/817fcde158ba4d42b17f70cdad15972e/resume#focus

Followed that up on Sunday by running at Lackland Air Force Base.  Still wet and dreary, altho the temp was a little better, at 41 degrees.  Got in 3.2 miles and then did some grocery shopping after.   Gail usually does it, and I can see why....she has a lot more patience than I do, lol, the commissary is a very, ummmmm, 'harried' place...it's kind of like 'roller derby' with shopping carts....

March 2 is Dr. Seuss Day!

                  Monday a good day,

                  A good day for you?

                  Does Monday make you happy,

or does Monday make you blue?

                  Happy rest day, LRB!

Hope for you it is carefree!

                  Cyberic99, have a safe trip,

And your run tomorrow do not skip!

D2, back on the wagon! Rest is done!

Good luck with your eleven mile run!

DaveP, unscheduled rest, that's not good!

Take care, and rest the knee like you should!

Baboon had snow, but it's okay,

His run will be nice for the day!

Good luck, Docket, getting your shot,

A bad reaction - this time not!

                  Biceps,triceps, chest, shoulders, back!

Work it, work it, Basya, work that weight rack!

Popsicle run sounds like no fun

But FreeSoul got it done with Rocky on the run!

                    Dave, sorry about the knee.

                    Baboon, yes, bring it back.

Since I rested yesterday, this morning Rocky and I ran 5.3 miles and I froze like a miserable popcicle because I misjudged the temp and the windchill - 27 degrees with a feels like 18 and 8 mph N winds. Then I changed clothes and headed to the gym for an hour and 5 minutes of circuits. The main focus was on the back, with a few legs and abdominal/core thrown in.

Got up this morning, got ready for work, had my coffee and then found out schools were no longer on a 2 hour delay but they were closed. Grrr..... So did a lower body & core work out because it was past the point to go back to sleep.

                           Seriously re-thinking my spring plans.

I hate to be annoying glass half-full guy but it's kinda who I am. There's way too much time left to toss it out the window entirely, but I understand the frustration.

If the BQ is the sole goal, I suppose you can shut it down and just look to one of the September races. Of course doing that leaves you one less opportunity so I would hold out a bit yet before throwing in the towel on Glass City.

But yeah it all sucks. In the meantime eat wholesome if nothing else to give your body what it needs to hasten healing. That shit works yo.

I did 7.1 this weekend; therefore, I am taking a rest day today.

On the positive side - my abductor pull is getting very close to 100% healed. On the negative side - my butt still hurts.
