Has anybody used these, or know of people who do and like them? It is becoming a pain in the ass just to sit in the chair I have now, and I really want to know whether it would be better to get one of these.

Good for core strength and stabilization as your body needs to do some of the work to stay upright and the chair doesn't do all of it for you.

What about for just better on your body/back? Is it better for your back and butt than a regular chair?

It's better for everything I think because you have to engage your muscles to stay on it. It is also softer than a traditional chair so if It's not overinflated it is comfortable on the butt.

FWIW- we have a ton of these at work because I work at a school for children with autism and a lot of our kids focus better when they are engaging their bodies and not required to sit still in a traditional chair. Most of the staff at the school opts for them too instead of regular chairs. I sit in one every time I sit down all day, and even though I have a regular desk chair, I usually do my paperwork in one of these. More comfortable. We have 3 pregnant women that work at my school and they all feel so much better sitting on these than a chair.

But it doesn't provide a ton of back support. That back rest is basically just their for show haha.

Lol, I hardly use back support anyways.
