I've got about 150 miles on the first version, including an 18km race and a 4+ hour run. I prefer my inov8 245s, but find myself coming back to the Hayates because I couldn't get that perfect fit with the 245. The hayate is a decent do it all but master of none trail shoe. It provides sufficient grip on dry rock faces (haven't taken them out in horribly wet conditions). It's fairly ligthweight for a trail shoe, and breathable. There is no rock plate if that is important for you. I give them an average rating, and will be looking to get a better fit in my inov8s next time. Sorry, this probably wasn't that helpful.
