It is not just Friday.  It is Friday before a three day weekend.  HOORAY!  Since it is still a weekday, naturally it's a two workout day for me.  2100 yard swim done before work, and I've got a 4 mile run to do after work.  Ya heard.

AlterG 9, because my body is being stupid and I don't want to jeopardize a long run this weekend.

I hear that there are people whose bodies are not total shits and who don't get injured every time they even think of turning around.  Imagine that!  (I can't.)

Finally back to running after a week off trying to cough hard enough to crack a rib.

DD turned 13 today. She keeps trying to say she turned 13 yesterday. Her argument:

                1) China is 14 hours ahead of Dallas.

                2) Even though she was found on the 15th, she may have been born of the 14th.

She has good arguments, but the birth certificate has January 15th.

I might run tonight and might not. It depends on when DD goes to bed because I can't run until after that because it is her birthday. Or is it?

                Personal Bests:

At first glance I was amazed ... he ran 35 miles!!  But then reality and understanding set in ... 35 DEGREES with a little drizzle.  5 easy miles.

Once she gets our age, she will choose a place that's 14 hours BEHIND us. lol

                        Barking Mad To Run

Well, on my run/walk last night, I was doing great and then I broke a bone...doggone it! Yep, about the 1 mile point I encounterd an excited dog....and when I reached into my pocket to give doggie a treat... my doggie bone-biscuit broke right in half! tongue emoticon Other than that, very nice 3.1 miles done in McAllister Park, with some sweet weather, sunny, cool, and 67 degrees. Sweeeet!

Today is a rest day and then I have a 5K tomorrow morning.   Weather should be okay.. 44 degrees - a bit chilly for my personal preferences -  but sunny and no wind.  I'll take it!  If we have to have 'winter' this is the kind of winter I prefer...nice and mild!

I thought about that when I wrote it, but figured people who read this know me well enough. I would definitely rather do 5 miles at 35 degrees than 35 miles at 5 degrees. Or 35 miles with only 5 of them easy.
