I have done a couple of afternoon races. I noticed I was slightly faster@ same effort in the afternoon.
On nutrition-it's a 5k. Get up eat breakfast, eat a snack before. I would not really think anything special beyond my daily routine.

I would eat a decent sized breakfast and a very light lunch around 11:30.
+1.
That sounds good. I would get it close to what you would normally eat, but for lunch a bit on the early/light side. Do you ever do training runs at that time? It's a bit of an odd time, isn't it!

I think I'm going to go with a normal breakfast (cereal, or possibly pancakes with the kids), and then a PB sandwich around 11:30. See you tomorrow!
Do you even run?
