Winter showed up for real overnight. Since we really didn't have any snow in last year's freak winter here it will be nice for the kids and a white Christmas. Always have liked running in the snow...at least for the first couple of times it happens and then it is all right with me if it all melts.
Pretty!!
Looks so beautiful!

Not jealous, I hate snow
You keep it, Fuzzy.
GORGEOUS! We have our first flakes here today, too, but it's just a dusting. The kids are giddy with excitement, though...
I had an 18 miler scheduled.
I went outside, ran a mile, covered my feet in snow, realized that turning into the wind was out of the question if I had any desire to see where I was going, and avoided two cars fishtailing down my street. Then I turned around and went home.
There were probably 6-8 unplowed inches on all the streets I saw when I went out, and it was like running through sand. It hasn't let up any since. I'm going to have to figure out when to do this run - probably on the treadmill, or in the single digit temperatures tomorrow. Before tomorrow, I don't even feel safe driving out there.
My wildly inconsistent PRs:
5k: 24:36 (10/20/12)
10k: 52:01 (4/28/12)
HM: 1:50:09 (10/27/12)
Marathon: 4:19:11 (10/2/2011)
Looks gorgeous. I've never run in snow.

SO JEALOUS! We had some flakes today but mostly just rain...boo...
Pretty to look at but you keep it.
So lovely... Ours comes and goes, it doesn't stay. Today it's raining and I see the grass. :-(

Beautiful! I was just about to post a new topic to see who likes to run in the snow, but I think yours will elicit enough comments from both sides of the fence.
I just got back from 14 miles in my first snow run (probably 2-3 inches by now). Pretty heavy snow for the first half of the run and it was awesome to be the only set of tracks through several local park paths. By the end the plows were out in force but that meant tons of slush and totally soaked feet by the time I got home.
Still, I had a big smile on my face for the whole run - love the snow. It was an awesome workout and I'm sure I'll appreciate tomorrow's SRD.
Train smart ... race smarter.

Very pretty!
I don't mind snow a few times in the winter, but not too often. It is really nice to go run in it when no one else is around. I am lucky because they plow pretty well in my city, but it's not a huge city, so I can usually get away with running in the plowed parts or in tire tracks in the middle of the street and not have to constantly move.
