Hey Penguins, I'm back!! (Tuesdailies) (Read 12 times)

Singer who runs a smidge

The "Penguin" daily threads were originally conceived to emphasize that all members of the community have a place on the boards. Encouragement, motivation, a little love nip (you will love one, give it a try!) or even a little kick in the pants when needed -- it can happen here. Basically, we celebrate just getting out there and moving our tails! What is "slow"? "Slow" is a perception but one of the common benchmarks is the 10:00/mi pace; but there's no firm line. In fact, there are many of us that have slipped past this, and just hope that no one notices and revokes their "igloo privileges."  And some penguins don't run at all, we just hang out for the company! It can be confusing for the forum newbies, but we're not one of the teams in any of the fine games. It's a totally open group, so stop lurking, post an introduction of yourself dive in and join the fun! No application necessary! There might even be a lovely picture for Scotty (we love pics!)

When it's all said and done, no one remembers how far we have run.  The only thing that matters is how we have loved.

It is Tuesday, right?  Anyway, I'm back after basically 5 days at IES, plus I took an extra day off (yesterday) to do laundry and such.  IES was AMAZING, so many different classes on so many different topics, I'm incredibly glad I went and also glad I took lots of notes!!  Plus I got Deke Sharon's autograph, so woo-hoo!!

Plus I walked up hill and down dale, University of Maryland is a surprisingly hilly place!  So now I'm back at work digging out of the inevitable hole, woo-hoo!!

Hi!!  Glad you are back!  Glad you had fun!

I took a full week off running or anything and I was crying my eyes out on Saturday I had felt no improvement and just like that, Sunday felt better and PT helped it yesterday.  Ran 4 last night.  Well, ran/walked it.  No pain.  Just cracky on the ITB.

        I have OTF tonight.

Those IT bands are awfully fussy.  I suspect that's what caused my knees to be fussy hoofing it around IES, since it started with tight-feeling hips.  Hope yours continue to improve!!

          What's OTF?

            Orange Theory.

I guess the ITB is cranky because the patella was moved to the right and now it has to push a bit harder.  Before the patella was there and the other side was pulling harder trying to balance it.  It's time the ITB does its job, ha.
