Skirt Runner
Lily, Damaris, Irishguy:
I will be on 4th in Bay Ridge just after the Green Wave merges back with the other waves, likely around 73rd St. between miles 3 and 4.
Look for me I will have a sign that will likely say "Go Princess Posse, Go Brooklyn MRTT, Go Beginners & Beyond!" And then some individual names of other friends of mine running.
I'm also going to try to get into Manhattan after everyone passes me in Bay Ridge, but location TBD.
Good luck

what wave and start time are you?
Thanks. I am green Wave 3 so hopefully I won't miss you in the confluence. Will you be on my left or right? I usually run on the left but want to make sure I can see you.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

Thanks for cheering, krisitin!
I'll be out there somewhere
First wave, 9:40 start I believe (I have to reread the whole getting there and start line procedure again. I'm overwhelmed by it all and I think I'm gonna pee my shorts the morning of the race. That's how nervous I am about it. Never mind the actual racing. )
Reassure me. If it's between 37F and 46F, sunny and windy and I go with shorts, singlets and arm warmers, I won't die of cold, right? I'm afraid to try it...
I don't know who you're asking this question to, but that sounds perfect. Going with the booty shorts?
Dave
NOOO! I've gained about 3 lbs since I wore those stupid shorts and I can see exactly where those pounds went.
No, you won't. There will be too many warm bodies around you.
I put on arm warmers yesterday for 6C and tossed them before the start.
Depends on if you are planning to run it at easy pace or faster...
Me personally? Yes I would. But I tend to wear less clothes than others. I'll be at a race in a skirt and tank and look around and people are in long tights and long sleeves so I may not be the best judge.
Remember the feels like is 29-40F during the time you'll be running with 16mph winds. Not like I have not been stalking the weather consistently.
