'Morning, folks! I've got a one hour tempo run to do this afternoon. It's actually a nice day for January except for the 40 mph winds. So either I run on the track and battle the wind, or I treadmill it. Decisions, decisions. I do know that I'll be pulling back on the effort with a race Saturday.

Did you start to plan/think about what you're gonna do for Boston? Or are you giving it more time before you start thinking about that?
We have a respite from the wind today. Winter is quite more enjoyable this way.

I fought hard not to get up, I swear I did.... but in the end insanity won. I think there was like 3-4 inches of snow, 5 inches in some spots. This was more like running on trails, not roads.... and the tire tracks were slick so it was either 3-5 inches of snow or slick tracks, those were my two choices this morning. But I managed to get in 10 miles, so I can't complain.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

She can catch a cold with her neck exposed like that.
When you dress like that, there better be snow on the ground and/or frosty breath coming out of your mouth.
Are we there, yet?
Reminds me of Clearwater, 2014, though it was a little colder than that at the start, maybe 45F.

Good morning!
I ran 12.2 slow miles ranging from uncomfortable to a suckfest. The roads were slick, the windchill was about 18, and every form of winter precip took part. I still haven't decided if the sleet stinging my face sucked more than the freezing rain that coated me. Not that I'd bitch, it's still better than riding an elliptical .
I hope everyone has a great day!
