      No more marathons

        4/27 - still bluesky - Legacy Run 15K - goal of 1:10, but 1:15 is OK.

UPDATE:  Hit my goal - spot on with McMilian predictor - 1:10:36.

Small race so was 5th overall and 1st masters.  Great race benefiting Inheritance of Hope - has the potential to grow much larger as word gets out.

        Boston 2014 - a 33 year journey

Lordy,  I hope there are tapes.

        He's a leaker!

My 4/21 VetDog 5K I ended up with 32:23. It was not a PR, but it did beat my 2nd best 5K time from March. I had kind of a rough race running-wise, but had a great day all around. I have a race report ready but am waiting for the official pictures to go up (and waiting, and waiting) because I wanted to put in pictures of all the veterans who ran with prosthetic legs, and didn't get any on my own phone.

                  PRs:   5K- 28:16 (5/5/13)      10K- 1:00:13 (10/27/13)    4M- 41:43 (9/7/13)   15K- 1:34:25  (8/17/13)    10M- 1:56:30 (4/6/14)     HM- 2:20:16 (4/13/14)     Full- 5:55:33 (11/1/15)

I started a blog about running :) Check it out if you care to

The big successes in April for me turned out to be:

                    - 4/13  Dismal Swamp Stomp Half Marathon  ---------- 1:43:29,  A huge PR of over 8 minutes  Smile

                    - 4/20 - 24-Hour Race for Cancer, Hampton, VA ---------- PR of 76.25 Miles.

Reading through, there are lots of great results in April by a lot of folks it looks like!

My 5K was 26:10, not a PR but my strongest 5K for this time of the year and sans albuterol.

flarunner, I'm going to unsticky this thread.  We are hoping you will continue tradition and open the May one!

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

Keep it going Scotty!  I'm not the prolific racer that you are, but I've seen you at several events around town and enjoy your race reports.
