Runs4Sanity
So July was hell, in a lot of ways and it was tough (for me, and a lot of others). I managed 148.9 miles for July, 13.5 miles more than June with an average 9:59 min/mile pace. Getting the runs in was pretty difficult and crazy, and sporadic but I did it and I am baring my ass to that pissy month and praying August is better.... or at least I am finally acclimated to this crap and done bitching about it
Anyways, so what are your goals for this new, promising month?? Mine:
You?
*Do It For Yourself, Do It Because They Said It Was Impossible, Do It Because They Said You Were Incapable*
PRs
5k - 24:15 (7:49 min/mile pace)
10k - 51:47 (8:16 min/mile pace)
15k -1:18:09 (8:24 min/mile pace)
13.1 - 1:53:12 (8:39 min/mile pace)
26:2 - 4:14:55 (9:44 min/mile)
From the Internet.
June and July were both mostly horrific.
This month:
1. No more broken bones
2. No more dead pets
3. Spend fucking forever in the pool/gym so I can transition back to land in September and kick ass by October!

Hey, another running blog.

If I get north of 60 Miles for the month I'll consider it a success.
Running for TJ because he can't.

1. Don't get injured or piss off my existing injuries
2. Stay on the training plan
3. Stay on top of the runger, maybe even count calories
Upcoming Races: Run as One 4M (4/24) * Japan Run 4M (5/8) * Brooklyn Half (5/21)

Are we there, yet?
Survive.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour
06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
I have a big month planned and the arch of my right foot has been... well I've been feeling it lately. So I have one and only one goal wish for august:
- Stay healthy
I'm leaving for Central America for a few weeks and I know I won't be able to keep up with my training. I hope I can at least run a few miles every day, even if it's just 6-8 miles, I'd be very happy with that. I also hope I'll be able to jump back into regular training once I come back at the end of August. Aside from that, I'm rock solid these days (touch wood), so not too worried about injuries (watch now, I bet I'll get stung by a scorpion...)
PRs: Boston Marathon, 3:27, April 15th 2013
Cornwall Half-Marathon, 1:35, April 27th 2013
18 marathons, 18 BQs since 2010
Never mind
Super B****
I would like a 10K PR and sub-21:40 5K, but I think I need to wait for fall for those... so I'll settle for keeping ITBS at bay. (It hits every year without fail in late August or early September.)
chasing the impossible
because i never shut up ... i blog
Mmmmm...beer
Maybe if I list some goals, it will help me post here more.
- 250+ miles
- Lean out some more (my weight is being weird, I'm hovering in the high 180s, but still getting leaner, so I guess that's good)
- Try to throw in a 5k, I have no idea what my speed looks like right now, but overall my running is strong, so I should probably test it out

Only two races for me this month, but I got a 10K PR and I got AG placement in my first Olympic triathlon. A good month as Augusts go.
