Friday Penguins are doing the happy dance!! (Read 9 times)

Singer who runs a smidge

The "Penguin" daily threads were originally conceived to emphasize that all members of the community have a place on the boards. Encouragement, motivation, a little love nip (you will love one, give it a try!) or even a little kick in the pants when needed -- it can happen here. Basically, we celebrate just getting out there and moving our tails! What is "slow"? "Slow" is a perception but one of the common benchmarks is the 10:00/mi pace; but there's no firm line. In fact, there are many of us that have slipped past this, and just hope that no one notices and revokes their "igloo privileges." And some penguins don't run at all, we just hang out for the company! It can be confusing for the forum newbies, but we're not one of the teams in any of the fine games. It's a totally open group, so stop lurking, post an introduction of yourself dive in and join the fun! No application necessary! There might even be a lovely picture for Scotty (we love pics!)

When it's all said and done, no one remembers how far we have run.  The only thing that matters is how we have loved.

'Cause you know, it's Friday!  And except for the fact that my computer is incredibly slow, it's a good day.  I think my instrument PM will finish today, so I can jump back on getting samples done tomorrow.  I'll drive up and settle my new car purchase with DH tomorrow.  And they say that we might see the sun at some point this weekend!!

Sorry about the kitty, Damaris!!  Dusty is now terrified to ride in the car, since his last three car rides have ended in vet visits.  He remembers riding in the car with his feet hurting, not riding to go walk in nifty places, so he shakes like crazy and creeps down into the floorboard.  Clearly DH and I need to drive him to walk in nifty places for a while.  Luckily his feet are fine now, so hopefully the memory will fade soon!

        From the Internet.

I had a good run (8 miles easy turned into progression), my powerlifting belt has arrived, my boss is away until Monday, and I survived a job interview yesterday! BRING ON THE WEEKEND.

Morning!  I have 5 recovery miles tonight.

HopesMom, poor Dusty.  He must not think the car is a nice place to be.

            Lauren, nice run.

I got 5 this morning. Having some PF problems though. Not sure if its from running on the track, running in flats or running more on my forefoot when sprinting.
