Soporific MONDAILIES (Read 43 times)

    Good morning.

I just finished 55:37 on the TM. The first 41:00 were at 6.6mph (9:05). The last 14:37 were at 4.1mph (14:37). My total mileage: 5.51 miles.

I'm running. Yeah. I'm running againSmile

      Good morning.

Congrats on the run B. Today is a rest day for me. My body is rebelling at the hour we gave up yesterday but it needs to get over itself because we are not going back for a long time.

        Morning!  6 and weights tonight.

        Basya, nice workout.

        LRB, enjoy the rest.

Taking a day off today. Plan to exercise extreme caution until things get better. Not sure whether it's better to take some amount of time off, or just reduce distance/frequency for a while. (Opinions?) One nice thing about keeping runs short though, is maybe I can run at lunchtime from work. Which is hard to squeeze in timewise during normal training, when the shortest run is 8 miles. So there's that.

Happy Monday!  I didn't have a great night of sleep, so I blew off my planned morning swim and slept in.  After taking yesterday off from running, I'll be back at it today.  60 minutes easy planned after work.  This is the weather week we've been waiting so impatiently for.  Sunny and mid to upper 40's all week.  I can't wait to get outside to run.

I would attempt a run every other day for a week to see if you get the discomfort.  If you do, more rest is needed.  It might be that the rest was enough but you will only know by trying.

Rocky and I ran 3.3 miles this morning and surprisingly I didn't feel sore at all.

Then I headed to Bob's Gym, it went really good. Workout was focused on shoulders and delts:

                  Dumbbell Lateral Raises: 6 sets/ 12 rep/ 10 lbs
                  Converging Plate Loaded Overhead Press: 5 sets/ 12 reps/ 50 lbs
                  Rear Delt: 2 sets/ 12 reps/ 35 lbs, 2 sets/ 12 reps/ 40 lbs, 2 sets/ 12 reps/ 45 lbs
                  Shoulder Shrugs: 6 sets/ 12 reps/ 17.5 lbs
                  Dumbbell Upright Row: 2 sets/ 12 reps/ 15 lbs, 3 sets/ 12 reps/ 12.5 lbs
                  Front Plate Raise: 6 sets/ 12 reps/ 25 lbs
                  Hip Abductors: 6 sets/ 12 reps/ 35 lbs
                  Torso Rotation: 50lbsx12reps, 60lbsx12reps, 60lbsx12reps, 70lbsx8reps, 60lbsx12reps, 70lbsx8reps

Really worked up a sweat this time.

Meeting a momma friend who is pushing her stroller for first time. 4 for her and 8 for me. So hopefully easy peasy slow because I'm feeling effects of yesterday's Fast 10.

Today I am not only sore I am super sore. That HM really took it to me. In a strange sort of way, it feels kind of good to have some fatigue and soreness in my legs again. Hopefully I am doing something right.

Have a good day. Dang, I am ready for some coffee. This time change is dumb.
