I totally understand how you feel, MJ5l! I have a 15 yr old wire fox terrier. She has bad arthritis, so she doesn't run with me. If I had run when she was in her prime, she would have totally been game! Here's a pic of her with my hubby on a hike - she always led the way like a little mountain goat.
I would like to adopt a standard poodle in the future and have been keeping my ears open...

The sweet looking yellow labrador above is our other dog Rosie, who is very sweet, and runs very fast, so she does all her running in the backyard chasing balls

You rock! Thank you. My husband was always the one to figure that stuff out for me, since he passed I just don't do it if I can't figure it out quickly. The way I used to fix computers was to bang the mouse on the desk a few times and he'd come running in- doesn't work anymore.
