Jess runs for bacon
I prefer to walk or bike the day after instead of running. Loosens things up without the pounding.

Thanks for all the great tips. I just ran three miles at an 8:50 pace and it felt good. Last night I did two at 9:20. I think I will also take the dog for a walk at some point tonight. Thanks again.

My last three races I took a rest day the following day, and have done just easy and long runs. I haven't done a real hard training session since my hill workout on the treadmill a month ago. I find slow easy runs very beneficial and I usually feel less sore after doing them. The key is to go SLOOOOOOOW, like Grandma slow.
