Morning!  5 miles later tonight.  Glad I'm working from home because I cannot deal with the bitch's bullshit at work today.  And I have a headache.  I need coffee.

I have a choice of 11 miles with 6 @ tempo or the 15 easy miles I skipped last night due to laziness. I'll probably go with the tempo run because I have to go to the store later to buy a birthday gift and a cake for one of the kids at daycare who turns 4 tomorrow. He wants something from the movie "Cars"...

Have a great start to the day!

Morning!  RD for me today, just some weights and core with DD in a few.

Had my MLR last night, and it worked out for me to be at the track and do the 10x100s that my plan called for.  There were some coaches there for the "official" HM training club, who said I ran the 100s too fast and the recoveries WAY too fast, and they're right.  But on the other hand, my entire 8 mile run was faster than my goal HMP!  I did stop twice to talk to the coaches, once during warm up and once during cool down.

Well, the rain seemed to stop before I went out, but 2 minutes later I was in a torrential downpour and winds that blew me off my path. About 5 minutes later the rain ended never to return. Foolishly I ventured to the county park, only to discover an ankle deep stream blocking my path. I though about it for a minute, said fuck it, and crossed. A half mile later I had to scale over a tree that was blocking the path, and regretted getting my shoes wet. Another half mile later I regretted scaling the tree when I was confronted with knee deep water, which I avoided by climbing a hill and cutting through some thorny bushes to get to an overpass that goes over the bike path. Normally I turn around and go back the way I came. This morning I ran back through town and ended up with 9.5 miles.
