SRD for me. Got home really late from the Nets game, and  I'm still sore from the crazy spin class yesterday so today's the perfect day for a rest. May do hip exercises after work though just to keep up the rehab. And foam rolling,  as I do every day. Have a great day!

      Mornin' folks.

I ran 11 last night in some classic WI winter conditions ... snowing, 20 mph winds, "feels like" temp of 4 and 6" of fresh snow on the ground already. About 4-5 miles were first tracks in the powder on unplowed paths and the remainder was on the roads that were a combination of snow, slush and ice underneath. Needless to say this morning my legs are feeling a bit "used".

I have 5 recovery miles on the schedule for today and I don't think I'll have any problem running them slow this time around.

      Train smart ... race smarter.

      Barking Mad To Run

Flippin' cold this morning in San Antonio - 33 degrees!  Won't last long though.  Lots of sunshine today and we will be going up to 68 degrees.  Plan on running after work somewhere for about 4 miles.   Haven't decided yet which of my many available running locations I want to do.  Maybe the Riverwalk.  Maybe the San Antonio Zoo area.  Maybe around the campus...with nice weather all the Great Legs come out, including the university women's running team, I encountered a few of them on my run on Tuesday.  Can't keep up with them at all, lol, they are very speedy, but I had a few seconds of "chase."  Smile

LRB, thanks for starting us off as usual.  4 a.m.!  Why do you get up so darn early?

        Happy workouts, Basya!

Looks like you will be making your trip, Just B.S.  Take lots of photos so we can all live vicariously through you!

        Stay safe, scrape!

Cross day...I first thought that meant you were mad at your DH, Kay, lol. Enjoy the spin class!

Enjoy your time with the personal trainer, Sparker!

Blustery weather, you ain't kidding, flarunner!  I think you are sharing our weather, we had 20 - 30 mph winds last night and this morning.  They have died down now, thank goodness!

Good luck with your 3 today, April!

Good luck with your marathon plan, crazyrunninglady. Which marathon will you be doing? Good luck with your duathlon this weekend!

The elliptical doesn't bother your knee, Baboon?  Have a great day yourself!

Happy SRD, INS!  Enjoy that foam roller!  I can never use that darn thing, I'm too uncoordinated to get into all the positions, lol.  Gail enjoys watching me try, though, and usually ends up laughing her head off.  So I  primarily use The Stick, lots easier for me.

What a nice thing to do, Pinktastic.  What's the procedure for donating platelets?  You take all your tiny dishes down to the homeless shelter? Wink

Funny, Dave!   I can do a few pushups...it's pullups I can't do, lol.  Right now my count is up to...1/2 pullup.  Joking

Enjoy the SRD, Kristin. What's the "Nets game".....tennis match?  Wink

I ran 11 last night in some classic WI winter conditions ... snowing, 20 mph winds, "feels like" temp of 4 and 6"   good lord, Bruce...I think you're ready to join Rach (from the Penguins thread) in Alaska now...

Today was just a get to know me day with the personal trainer, but watch out next week.

I did a light workout and 3.25 miles on the TM this morning. Feels good to de done before work. I just need to work on getting ready for the office at the gym.

              Hello Again You Lovely People!!

Thanks for all the sweet comments about the personals. Y'all are too kind!!

Kay – That's much better! Thanks for the coffee – I really NEED it this morning!!

ImNotScott – Hope your foam roller treats you right on your date tonight! The key to keeping up with everyone is to get into the thread early. After about 8:30 though, I totally agree that it's not possible as we have such a large family here.

Damaris – Sorry about your headache! Maybe the coffee that Kay's sharing will help with that.... Hope your day goes much more smoothly today!

Lily – Enjoy your run no matter which one you choose! Hope you find something perfect for the just-turning-4 year old – Cars is a great movie!

Zelanie – I have no experience with that kind of workout, but it looks awesome to me! I hope the coaches gave you some good advice that you can put to use in your next run. Have a fabulous day!!

Scrape. - Holy cow! That was a freaking CRAZY run!! Great job getting it done!!

Robert – What a month you've had!! Huge congrats on all those Pbs!!

Lilac – Sorry about the missed run and the ITB recovery! Hope you have a glorious day today!!

LRB – Nice run this morning! Those strides were impressively fast!!

Kristin10185 – Hope you had a nice time with your Dad at the game last night! Enjoy your rest day!!

BruceD – Wow! That sounds like a tough run last night!! Have a great recovery run tonight!

Scotty – You made me laugh! Platelets donation takes a whole lot longer than donating whole blood, but, at least in my experience, it requires less recovery and isn't as impactful to my running. And, it's something positive I can do for my community so why not? Hope you find some “scenic” views for your run this afternoon!!

Scott/Sparker – Nice job getting your run in before work!!

Dave – Enjoy the test run of the Saucony's! Be sure to let us know what you think of them!

              Have a Pinklightfully joyful day!!

But The Smile That I Sent Out Returned With You.

Planning on some MP miles tonight to end the month.

My knee certainly doesn't love it!  Doc says to keep at it though.

Thanks, Pink!  Mostly the coaches were like WTF are you doing running 100s in a HM plan?  And they do have a point.

The one coach did give me some pointers on form that I think were good.  Apparently I thought I was much more upright than I actually was. Blush

Careful out there.  It's been loud as hell all night.

Today is "cross" day, so it will be spin class for me.

                      But first, YAAAAAWWWWNNN!

I don't like runs like this mostly because I have limited time to screw around with obstacles in the morning because I have a bus to catch. And I have trouble getting into a rhythm.

Lucky you.  I woke up 3 or 4 times.  Add the rain in there, and it sounded like someone was banging on my bedroom window.

                            Do you even run?
