    What up doe!

I actually thought it was Tuesday for a minute, but shit we are already humpin'.

I am set for an 8 mile trot this morning in hopefully less humid conditions than we have had the past week which can only be described as a wet soppy mess.

Looking back on August though and the summer as whole morning runners here have nothing to complain about, nothing at all.  It has been an awesome season to run and race in!

So what's on your agenda for the first Wednesday in September?

    Mmmmm...beer

      Good morning everyone!

Mornin' Rick!  I agree, this summer, and August especially, were great!

7 miles done.  New low this morning, 175.0 on the nose!  This is officially the lowest I've ever been as an adult (95lbs lost from my high of 270).  The last time I weighed 175, my height started with a 5 instead of a 6.

With 10 more weeks to go until Richmond, I think I'll be solidly in the 160s, maybe even 165, which would put me 30lbs down from my marathon in March.  That, combined with more than doubling my mileage, should prove for a pretty solid PR.

Hope everyone has a great day!

      -Dave

It felt pretty good this morning, humidity was 94% but the temp was only 66 degrees. Pretty soon I'll be able to get Rocky back out there pounding the roads with me.

9.2 miles for me this morning

          Barking Mad To Run

Yay, our weather has 'cooled'.  It will be only 95 degrees today with a 'feels like' temp of only 97...so after a long hot summer and lot of early morning running, I will finally be able to do an after-work run today.  I am SO tired of running in the dark!  I might even actually get to SEE any Great Legs I inadvertently come across today during my run/walk.

Our August sucked.  Out of the 31 days in the month, 17 of those were over 100 degrees.  Prior to August we had a pretty good summer though...not a single 100 degree day, which is very unusual for  here.  Then Mother Nature brought in August with a vengeance!  And continued into September...on Labor Day for us, we had a heat index of 106 degrees, sheesh.   Seems to be starting to cool down now though, thank goodness.

              Yo.

A bit cooler or less humid or something this morning. I'll take it. (Fewer, slower miles also helped.) Yesterday was one of those days where It looked like I came out of a swimming pool when I got home. Near the end of my run, you could actually hear the fabric on my shorts slapping together, it sounded like a trained seal.

              8 easy.

                HELLO!  Wake up now, kids.

I did 7 miles last night that were hot ("feels like" 96), humid (72 dew point), and I had no energy.  It sucked.  8:49 avg pace.  This morning, I ran 7 miles at GMP (7:29 avg pace).  I just don't get running sometimes.  10 hours after a crappy, sluggish run, I have a fast, good run.  I expected my legs to rebel this morning, but they showed up.  I'm thrilled to get the GMP miles in today.  I'm doubling today, so 4-5 easy miles after work.

Morning!  I have Pilates and 6 miles tonight.  Most likely running with hubby.

My coach sent me his weekly response (analysis of my weekly email) saying, I cannot believe you're 6 weeks out.  Well, thank you for reminding me!

The usual Wednesday group hill run - 4.5+ miles, with several hill repeats (some slow, some fast, some running a chunk of it backward), interspersed with planks and wall sits, and topped off with fartleks through the last mile.

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

Morning!  Rocked my workout last night.  It was the 2 x 3 miles at 10 sec/mile faster than GMP.  I feel like everything is coming together at the right time.  Now I just need everything to stay together for a month and change, and I'll be all set.

Lovely Wednesday RD coming for me. Smile

Were you in Miami?  Had no energy and sucking is a normal for that weather.  Glad to hear you adjusted for it.
