    Yo.

I  am off from work and  taking a rest day from running.  I was going to do some strength and core work but it just didn't happen.

At some point shortly here I will be headed for breakfast, some time on the range and a movie.

    You?

    happylily

Happy (what is it that you celebrate today, exactly?)! In Ontario, they have the day off and it's called Family Day. In Quebec, families don't matter. We work. grrr...

Rest day for me today. The bruise is lightly hurting again and not fading in the least. Actually, it's looking more massive on my inner thigh. Of course, I had to research the internet regarding the situation. You all understand that I'm about to be amputated, right? Good. I just wanted to make that clear.

Have a nice day off those of you not working!

Already have 4-5 inches of snow here and it is still coming down, even though the weather forecast was warning EVERYONE of the potential 10 inches we'd get by some point today.... no freaking salt trucks were out yesterday or last night preparing for this, I was a little worried I wouldn't make it to the gym this morning but got there and got an hour of circuit training done. Hopefully the roads will be cleared or improved by tomorrow morning so Rocky and I can run.

Okay, I may be over-reacting a little. Like all runners when it comes to their legs.

Forced rest day for me.  I'm prepping for The Probe tomorrow, only liquids and no running (risk of dehydration).  As if I could run on no food.

Problem is, I expect my appointment to be cancelled.  We have an ice storm coming, with significant (for us) sleet and freezing rain. Up to 1/2" accumulation of ice. I expect the doc will not be at the surgery center at 6:30 tomorrow morning.  So today I'll sip green tea and prepare for a power outtage.  Yippee.

                  Morning.

So after taking 5 days off (well sort of 4 because the first was normal RD), decided to take the knee for a test drive. 6 miles on the treadmill & felt fine. Other than some general stiffness/soreness from working atrophied muscles. Very, very relieved. But not getting too excited yet because you never know. Hopefully back on track, but thinking maybe tomorrow's intervals should be made an easy day. In any case, better news for me than a day off work. Which is good, because I don't get one of those.

Take care & stay warm people.

                    Are you going golfing?

Plus all I needed to do was ship customer orders and the post office is closed.... so no point in going in.

Upper body weights and core done. I took the day off. As I told my boss, it was in protest. We got President's Day off the first several years I worked there. Then it got taken away because the other local hospitals don't give their employees off. However, since I work with school programs, the school staff are off, so there may be 10 people in my department  working today. I am also crossing everything for a 4 day weekend. C'mon snow day tomorrow! Sorry New Englanders, I know you have seen enough snow for several winters....
