At least it’s Back to the future for me 😀
leisurely swam 2000 yards (free, back, breast, back rotation) 72 minutes.Right leg has not been doing great so it’s back to swimming laps and this will really be the first time regularly swimming swimming laps since 1982. First time at 2000y since last week of November 1982; I remember as after completing the 2000 I slipped in the shower, seriously pulling groin muscles…. Which was followed by 4 day work&ski trip to Vail; only got in one real uncomfortable run.
addendum: same pool as 40 years ago ….very much back to the future.
Morning! I have 7 later.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

I think I have caught up with my sleep over the past two nights. I have basically slept a full day since Sunday night. I've got a scheduled rest day today but I may climb onto the bike trainer later for a light spin. Coach says this is allowed.

3 miles in the rain. Some areas may get 2.5 inches That's like our annual rainfall.
My brother in MD was supposed to visit this week but he has Covid and while he's finally feeling better, we decided it was best to reschedule. Slightly bummed because we haven't seen family since July.
Found who was the one that tested positive and fortunately it wasn’t the ones in my lunch crew phew. Still, I interacted with her so will retest end of the week.

I went to the track this morning but kept my promise to my MD not to do speed work. I ran easy laps and was there to keep my RP company while he did the workout (most of the time, we were the only two people there, so he was I was there - not out of concern for safety, but just to have some company). Good news from the PT is that my knee joint seems fine and a couple weeks of heat & massage with stretching at home should do it. Turns out my hamstring was playing a stealth role in the knee problem, which makes sense that it was worst when doing high-intensity track work as opposed to my other low-intensity/long-duration running.

Fred, good news on the knee. I think it's a good sign when PTs look beyond what hurts (or maybe it's just from bad experience where they didn't).
Docket, hopefully you only had minimal interaction with the positive coworker.
Daffy, hopefully the swimming helps.
Sigh, might not get to run. Went to the vet with Trixie but since the vet and I noticed also like part of her throat was swollen, they kept her for XRays. Now she wants to talk to me after all patients are gone (5:30pm) so I might just get there, get bad news, and come back home late for running and pick a wine bottle instead. I feel like this won't be good news.
PS, SRD. We just got home. Trixie's stuff is inconclusive so off to the specialist hospital next.
Hope you're able to get answers soon. Hugs.
