      He's cool.  I doubt that he's actually over 100, but he's really really old and kudos to him for his running.

        101 Years old, and running a MARATHON!  Good lord!

         

        I like that they gave him number "0001".  that is cool.

         

        I just hope I can run a race when I am 75... (a 5K version only perhaps though... :-)

          I saw this story a couple of weeks ago, but it wasn't until today that I read about why he took up running.  What a tragedy about his son.

           

          And I'm always hopeful that a story of a successful senior runner talks about how they've been running for 70 years, but it never seems to be the case.  He started at age 89.
