2017 Goals, plans, intentions, etcetera, etcetera (Read 74 times)

    Aside from the usual staying healthy (never dealt with really any injury this year!), my 2 goals were to run a 100 miler and BQ.  I was able to do both those things focusing the first half of the year on the former, and second on the latter.  Looking at mileage, I'm currently 90mi beyond last years' total with a few days to go.  2018 should be a fun one!

      I had no goals for this year, so I didn't fall short of any of them.

       

      I did have my first injury in 30 years of running. Also ran my first ultra. So some bad and some good.

        Goals for 2017
        Log 1650 running, 1000 cycling miles. Swim as I can

         

        Moving in steps towards a 3:30 marathon (in Spring 2018), the check marks I want to hit are:

        21 min 5K in the Spring;

        and then a sub 1:35 half in the Fall (probably the Silver Comet half again, that course suits me).

         

        Lose a further 15lbs by goal HM day.

        Biking 979.8   close

        Swimming 11.2 (set new distance PR)

         

        Hit the sub 21 and the sub 1:35

         

        Weight is basically the same as this time last year.

        Thats the only bad note.
