I'm pretty sure I knew that once upon a time.
Nearly all of my workouts (from the simplest to the most complicated) require only that I press start when I step outside of my side door, and press stop when I get back to it, and nothing else.
I prefer it that way though as I generally do not look at the watch a single time (and don't want to accidently look at it) during a run. The only exception is when the recoveries are by lap button.
It's all good though. Whatever works for the individual, works.
I hit the lap button between the warm up and the main workout, everything else is programmed. Mainly because I often do them on roads and have a few different starting points for the interval part.
