Multi year standings are based on 1 point for coming in first, 2 points for second, etc. Total points for all years are divided by the number of years in the game. How the game works is listed after this post. Updated for 2023
5k 23:48.45 (3/22); 4M 31:26 (2/22); 5M 38:55 (11/23); 10k 49:24 (10/22); 10M 1:29:33 (2/24); Half 1:48:32 (10/22); Marathon 4:29:58 (11/23)Upcoming races: Clinton Country Run 15k, 4/27; Spring Distance Classic 5k, 4/28
This is a multi-year game based on the Miles Game run by Cyberic in 2021. The game runs annually and results are tracked for each year. The game is for fun, to see how each of us is doing, and to see how it runs over multiple years. Below is how the game works - it's not perfect and flaws can be identified, but we really don't want to get into negotiating rules every year. The one thing is if you want to participate, please stay in for several years; it doesn't work if people only play when they expect to have a good year. If you forget to log a weekend run before I run the results, just send me a message and I'll add the miles retroactively, but they won't show up until the following week's results. If you're hiding miles from the RA game, please send me a message Sunday evening with your weekly total so I can input it in the spreadsheet; I'd rather not be doing retroactive changes due to not logging miles for the other game.
A runner has a 24 miles per week target, so extra points are added/subtracted for each 2.4 miles above or below target
A runner has a 60 miles per week target, so extra points are added/subtracted for each 6 miles above or below target

Agreed! Thanks pinning it and for keeping score!

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

Looking at the results, I bumped UP a position by running less? LOL.
In the first post, the columns are 2022 & 2023; I think you’re off by a year, unless you have a crystal ball?
Anyway in the multi-year standings, I’m glad you only have the average placing and not the standard deviation of the placing—mine is by far the worst, dropping from 1st to 10th!
Dave
Brought this one back too.
