3 slow miles. I have never been so grateful that my county puts up port-o-pots at all the school/recreation sites. The school is less than 1/2 mile from my house, I don't think I would have made home. ROS/LM, unless I missed something, I don't think it was a picture, just a disgusting story. Bit of a let down, I was expecting something way worse.

Had a work event this morning where my company donated money to some charities for every mile walked, ran and biked. If you participated, you got the rest of the day off. WIN WIN! It was held at my usual long run workout spot: 5 mile flat paved trail around a lake. I did 10 miles with 7 mile wave tempo alternating between 9:30 and 9:00. I love the wave tempos! I felt very strong... good stuff heading into my goal HM next weekend. Then I rode a bike 5 miles and that was my work day. Oh and there were tacos
I know this varies per person (and per stomach) but what do you guys use for energy gels/etc for longer races?
Gels make me gag. It's like squirting warm jam in your mouth. I stick to chews, lately the Clif bloks.
Are we there, yet?
PBJ, grilled cheese, burritos, chips, fresh fruit, pizza, pretzels, ham and cheese wraps, turkey wraps, whatever else the aid stations have

Nailed it. 3.5 miles 33:23, 9:33 pace, faster than my 5k PR pace (5k PR is 29:58, 9:38 pace). I needed that!
The ultra aid stations are where it’s at.
