They have the 410 for the same price.

Do you even run?
Wow, that is an excellent price for anyone in the market for one of these, especially the 410 (if you like the touch bezel).
...and the Garmin 410 w/o HRM for $140:

Better than all of you
Cheaper on Ebay all day long...
Sloooow.
I need to get a Garmin, I just have absolutely no idea which one to get. Frustrating.
Probably can't go wrong with the new Garmin 10, if you just want the basics.
Oh yeah, I just want to know how far, and how slow I'm going.
Dumb question......if I order a model- say the 610 without HR monitor, does that mean I just need to buy the strap at some point? Or is it not capable of HR monitoring at all i fI don't buy it that way right away?

Yes,, any ANT+ HRM will work, even the older ones(Garmin had lots over the years!) It was just that the "with HRM" ones came as a cheaper combo pack than buying seperately. I just sold my less than year old black 610 with HRM, but kept the HRM, and bought a white one. Yours can be paired with a HRM or footpod or bike sensor, it just won't come included in your package. You can buy and add an ANT+ external sensor at any point later that you see a need.
One note though, the new ones have plastic backs now as opposed to metal. I like the change because it made my 610 lighter by quite a bit from my old one. I see it as Ian improvement but some people think it cheapens the look a bit(sorry, I don't spend a lot of time looking at the backside of my watch!)

Do the white ones come with a HRM option? I didn't even know they had any that weren't black. I'm glad for the plastic actually, I tend to be allergic to the metal ones.
At this point, they do not come in a combo pack with HRM(which was why I kept mine).
I was happy that the back is plastic now too, my only complaint about my old black one(well, besides the boring black run of the mill color) was the weight of it. I am in between holes on the band and since tight sucks for comfort, I had to have it a bit loose. It flopped around a lot due to the heft. I've only had one run with my white one, but it was noticeably less floppy.
Nice, huh?
