            Clearly I didn't brag enough in my last post.  This was my run today:

            1 mi 11:42  
            1 mi 11:30  
            1 mi 11:27  
            1 mi 11:32  
            1 mi 10:56  
            1 mi 10:50  
            1 mi 10:52  
            1 mi 10:52  
            1 mi 10:37  
            1 mi 10:37  
            1 mi 10:38  
            1 mi 10:29  
            1 mi 8:55  
            1 mi 8:48

             

            Never really tried anything like that outside of a race, and wasn't sure what was going to happen.  It turns out that "tempo" hard is a totally different kind of hard than "long run" hard, so it worked.  Instead of stiff leg distress, it was aerobic distress.  Not fun, but a different kind of not fun.  Damn if those 12 miles didn't feel like the longest warmup ever.
