LRB, sounds like a tough run.

Great job, everybody.  I just hit the top of my foot with a heavy remote and am icing because I am hoping it's not broken.  Joy.

What kind of remote do you have that could break your foot? Surprised Hope it's OK!

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

      Are we there, yet?

        I'm sure that's only a remote possibility.

Recovery run: 9.4 miles in at 9:04 pace.

I just noticed you have an impressive looking tempo in your log for last week. I must have missed it in the dailies, so giving you a belated thumbs up.

Thanks, Scrape!  I'm not sure how that happened, actually!  I appreciate it.  Well done on the 10 today!

Bruce: Nice recovery run.  I log stalked you. Ohhh, you are getting so darn fast!  3:30?  Sub-3:30 me thinks is in the cards for you! You are going to kill it at Lakefront.  Did you register?  I did right away.  I think it sold out by April or something last year?  I wasn't about to get iced out again, so I jumped right on it when registration opened!

Damaris: A remote?  It can't be broken!  Ice it and you'll be fine, I'm sure!!

April: I'm a big Pfitz fan.  I don't think it is too much for you at all.  Some MLRs, 1 speed work day and a LR.  Pretty doable.  I think that is a good choice, actually!

D2: I'm sorry to hear about the race getting canceled - boo, hiss!  Nice job on the 9 trail miles - you earned that beer.  Cheers!

LRB: That sounds like a very difficult, challenging run.  You did an amazing job.  Great work on picking up the pace too!

David: WOW - very nice 19+ miler this AM!  Great pace, too, in the winter weather.  Are you running the FM at LBL?  I can't recall.

Tom: Excellent job on that 10 miler.  A very good, solid pace, too!

Fuzzy: 10 "breezy" miles?  I like the sound of that.  Breezy (at least sounds) > windy

Scotty: Awesome job on yet another 5K!  My goodness!

Sparker: My $ is on you being faster than you thought!  How great is that?

I did some cross-training - strengthening: core, hips, all that garbage.  A necessary evil now, I guess.  I'm nervous about tomorrow's run - 1st MP one.  I'm screwing around with Pfitz's mileage a bit, so I'm attempting 20 with the last 8 at MP.

            LRB

              I'm sure that's only a remote possibility.

4 miles in 25 F, sunny, and no wind. Nice. We are expecting freezing rain tomorrow, though.

I also interviewed two real estate agents to sell our house today. It's very stressful for me. Then there is the continuous cleaning and picking up so that the house does not look like a pigsty.

Now I am going back and read what everyone is up to...

There is some serious coffee porn going on in this thread.

14 windy miles in the books for me today.

Luke -- I hope your race went well today.

Docket -- Good luck tomorrow.  I hope the weather  and your foot cooperates.

                  Life is good.

Damaris, good luck with that foot. How did you manage such a nasty remote hit?

Hellodilly doodily!  Have not read this daily but will in a bit.

Fun but frustrating day.  I did a Komen 5K snowshoe walk but had to cut it short because my knee was killing me.  It sure as hell felt like I had five tears in there today.  We had some good chow and fun shopping after.

I'm making a lasagne right now while the rest of the gang is out for a hike.  My knee wants to rest.  It is aaaalllll good!

Thankfully Feb 5th is just around the corner!

About that lasagna... what kind is it?

I need to scroll back and read the 4 pages of posts....lots of activity today!

Yoga class today for me. Felt great. Helped take my mind off not running my 10K this morning. Then I treated myself to a shiny new pair of running shoes! The LRS put me in Mizunos Wave Inspire 9 this time. I overpronate, most strongly on the left and the Mizunos were the only one that kept my left foot at 90 degrees. The person analyzing my run told me I overstride, which could contribute to my ITBS, and helped me fix my cadence to have a faster turnover using a little beeping device. That was a nice bonus. I love my new shoes....I want to lace up and get out there! I'm not sure if I took off enough time from running yet though.....not sure if that stupid ole IT Band is healed yet...

                              Hi dailies:

D - Trade ya my 5 coldest runs of the year for your 5 hottest ones.  Hope the foot is ok

SIAR - that is a long fartlek run, you're killing it lately

Zelanie - that note clearly refers to the little-known BostoM marathon, pehaps the book belonged to Kip Litton ;p

April - I can't say enough good things about Pfitz.  You will hate that plan at times, but it will pay off.

D^2 - good stuff, getting to go beer it up without even racing.

                              Heidi - nice recovery run

Rick - serious bad-assery, very nice.

Sparker - how did you like using the garmin?

Tom - grats on the dub digits

Bruce - any run in those conditions is a good run, even if too fast

                              Weezer - nice LR

                              Baboon - Enjoy the lasagne

It was above 20° and the roads were dry down in the 'burbs, game on!  10 miles with 30 minutes at HM pace, 6:35 overall.  40's on Tuesday will be shorts weather.
