Don't know if y'all have been reading these, but I liked this one:

It's ok to have a bad run, but I wouldn't call that failure.  Not sure where he got that training plan, but it doesn't look good to me.  3 mile runs twice a week and then a 12 mile long run?

I missed the 3 miles twice a week thing.  Where does it say that?  The only details I read were on race week where it had him run 6 miles in three 2-mile runs, which he thought was too little.  But I may have missed something.

He posted a picture of his schedule, it doesn't show the full week, but I'm guessing Monday is a similar length run to Wed.

If he was able to handle the 12 miler, then he'll probably do ok, but I think more frequency and more mileage on his shorter runs would help him.  I was running six days a week, 30-40mpw, before I got my long run up to 12+ miles.
