Hello. Not much time today. I did 7 last night to put me at 17. I am planning on 3 tonight if I get home from a party in time to run it. I should be at 20+ for the third straight week. I am extremely happy because I haven't done back-to-back 20+ mile weeks since mid-October.

    Personal Bests:

    800M - 2:38 (5/28/13) | 1 Mile -5:54 (5/28/13) | 3K - 11:55 (12/29/12) | 2M - 13:00 (12/1/12) | 5K - 20:00 (4/12/13) | 13.1M - 1:37:24 (2/3/13)

    Return To Racing

Well, DD2 called in sick and asked us to drive into the city for brunch and taking her to Costco.   Driving in the city is so much fun in the winter, especially the side streets that don't get plowed.   No movie, no run.

It's raining here, and really making a mess.  Ready for a beer and nap.

        Hello penguins

cherie that looks like a perfect weather forecast!  Jealous! Our winters here in AL dont get very cold but its almost always cloudy and makes for a dreary sad winter. Cloudy right now. Cloudy tomorrow too. Blah.

I took a few days off for my sinus Infection and ran last night and 1/2 mile in got ANOTHER NOSE BLEED. that's 4 in a row   I went ahead and ran 3 more miles and just bled everywhere since I was not in the gym. WTH.  I didn't even pick my nose. Ha

Are you still using the allergy meds?  ugh.

I sometimes bleed a lot.  As in I sneeze or something and it's dark red (sorry, TMI) and it keeps going down until cows come in.

I couldn't help but laugh! (at the nose picking part) I'm so sorry for the bloody nose. We have a guy here at work that just had a gusher the other day, he has sinus problems and say the winter dry air gives him fits. Registration for Cotton Row opens Jan 15th, you signing up? I think I'm gonna try both 10k and 5k this year.

No nose bleeds, but I do have to be extra careful with my toenails. The slightest scratch on my toe gets pretty bloody right now because of the blood thinners.

                Morning!  I have 7 miles.

Awood, do it!  I am eyeing a Bacon Race in April, hoping my surgery recovery has gone well for me to do it.  And eat bacon, of course.

Bacon Race? Sounds like a hoot! If there's ever a Bacon Relay and anyone needs a team member, I'll be your ringer

3.35 miles last night; I stopped counting my walking warm up and cool down time but include walk breaks if/when they happen because it's kind of a pain to Pause the Garmin. Re: pace bunny, I'm trying to guesstimate a mileage goal for 2014 but curious to know if I can modify once I enter it?

Supposed to be working on my job performance self-assessment right now and trying to find a nice way of saying "I stopped putting in twelve hours days and developed bullet-proof calves", maybe "focus has shifted to optimizing my work/life balance"...

                I can. I will. I am.

If you run a humidifier at night, that can help your mucus membranes not dry out so much.

When it's all said and done, no one remembers how far we have run.  The only thing that matters is how we have loved.

Could I ask if you've seen a doc, yet? In addition to dryness, you may have a damaged blood vessel in your nose that needs help healing, either by cauterization (dabs of silver nitrate) or a topical moisturizer/protectant like petroleum jelly. As I understand it, most of the time they heal on their own but every once in a while they need a little extra attention.

BTW, are you still eating something green every day?

                      I can. I will. I am.

                        Or mold, probably ...

I went to the doc for a sinus infection not nose bleeds but I mentioned nosebleeds to her.   I thought it was from the neti pot so I stopped.  Its probably dry air.  I will break out the humidifier tonight and shove some petroleum jelly in my nose before I run.

Yes, Im eating something green everyday.

Im also juicing now so I pretty much drink a green juice every day too.

Just noticed i memtioned shoving something in my nose and then eating something green everyday... in the next sentence.

I was more concerned with the term "juicing"

I got on a 30 day green smoothie challenge myself. Pretty good stuff so far!
