Former Bad Ass
My parents are back in their house; no damage, but no power. They did not have a generator, and of course none anywhere to be found in stores, but were somehow able to borrow one. So at least they now have a working fridge and some lights.
Glad they did! Some elderly have died at nursing homes here due to the lack of power and heat. Some people in my local city FB group say their kids cry at night from the heat. I feel for them. One night at 90F inside and I almost went nuts with asthma.
Ran my 10!

Accounting is still boring, but it pays the bills. Running around 20 per week now. Waiting for fall to add some speed work.

Glad to see you around these parts. How is your daughter doing?
Ugh. I can't imagine. Even when it gets warm here by our standards, sleeping is awful. Unfortunately the generator does not power their A/C, but it can at least run fans. Which of course mainly blow hot air around at that point, but still.

She is playing high school tennis now. Their JV team stinks, but their varsity won state last year. She is the best player on the JV team but will not make varsity. The varsity coach grooms the kids from their freshman year.
Personal Bests:

Glad that you are doing ok. I guess you are happy that the hurricane took a later turn north than originally expected. Bad for Naples and the Keys, but Miami dodged a bullet.
I saw that! That's awesome!
YEs! We live inland so not too worried, but the houses in the US are really not hurricane proof so I was pleased when we dodged that bullet.
7 miles. So. Many. Bugs. I did a super quick stretch just so I could get in the shower & wash the bug graveyard off me.
No more marathons
Had a vertigo episode on Monday that knocked me for a loop, had to go to the hospital and get some valium. Felt much better on Tuesday and got in a great 5-mile run. Today is a planned easy 3 miles after work. Also, start getting my packets today for my races this week. I have a race on Friday after work, 1 Saturday morning, 1 Saturday evening, and 1 Sunday morning. The rest of Sunday will be spent napping, lol.

A bout of vertigo, a dose of Valium, and 4 races in three days.
Hmmmm. Are you on to something here?

Lordy, I hope there are tapes.
He's a leaker!
3.8 miles after work.
Gives me 5 days in a row.
Been a long time since that level of consistency (although the mileage is low).
Has anyone tried the s'mores flavored Gu? Just bought one, we'll see.
Let us know!

NO, but I did try the toasted marshmellow. It tastes like Fluff. OMG good.
Hmmm.
I'd like to try the cola one
This thread is giving me the munchies.
