Well, I think I blew my lead this week thanks to the 3 Ws - work, weather & wife.
Busy time at work tends to leave me a small window between the official close time of the office (I WFH) and DW putting my dinner on the table. I aim to manage 4 miles or so on at least 2 weekdays and then pick up the balance of my week at the weekend. So this is what happened.
Monday - my usual rest day. No miles.
Tuesday - Tornado warning at my planned run time - torrential rain and an actual tornado touched down about 10 minutes afterwards less than 10 miles to our NE. No miles
Wednesday - DW's birthday trumped running. No miles
Thursday - Went with DW to her doctor appointment, which ran late. No miles.
Friday - Work won. No miles.
Saturday - Some work, but mainly DW's honey-do list. Eventually got ready to run in time to get 6-8 miles before dinner, but DW decided to clean the ice maker and nearly flooded the kitchen, so my departure was delayed until I fixed the problem and mopped up. Did manage 5 miles.
Today - Thunderstorm and lots of rain in the morning then rain on and off after that. Kept checking accuweather and saw it predicted an hour or so gap in the rain mid-afternoon, with just a chance of light rain for a few minutes around 15-20 minutes in, so went for it. After 10 minutes it started raining heavily for about 15 minutes, then rain on and off until the next thunderstorm started, and I headed home for safety's sake. 11 miles.
Started running at age 60.

Week 4 - Nobody has a maximum score anymore. DavePNW is the only one who still has a perfect 10 streak (i.e. 10 points every week).
A watchful participant questioned the results and I discovered a copy/paste error in this week's data that substantially changed the results. I apologize for the error. The standings below represent the correction.
5k 23:48.45 (3/22); 4M 31:26 (2/22); 5M 38:55 (11/23); 10k 49:24 (10/22); 10M 1:29:33 (2/24); Half 1:48:32 (10/22); Marathon 4:29:58 (11/23)Upcoming races: Clinton Country Run 15k, 4/27; Running is Back 10k, 5/12
Can’t believe I am that up on the list!!!

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

It wasn't me, but thank you mysterious benefactor!

Week 5 - DavePNW still in the lead but standings changing after that with Docket_Rocket now in second. Bluerun has had a sudden drop in mileage - I hope it's not something too serious. Three runners yet to post any mileage, which may just be winter but may be something we have to think about - what happens when someone stops? Too early to worry about that yet.
I can't believe I'm catching up to Dave!
I had quite the drop in ranking. Serves me right for running more than usual. Lol
Yeah, StdDev scores are very volatile early in the year and have a bigger effect on standings now than they do late in the year.
Week 6 - Total mileage for those in the game has been dropping.

Week 6 - Total mileage for those in the game has been dropping. Week 1 563 Week 2 522 Week 3 537 Week 4 504 Week 5 484 Week 6 470
I guess this is an indicator of how long New Year’s resolutions last, lol

I've lost 50-60 miles total due to injury the past couple of weeks, but I am now on the rebound.

Week 7 - DavePNW still the leader among active forum participants. Maybe my comment about dropping mileage last week hit a collective nerve:
Boo, I dropped a place, lol! Thank you!
Are we there, yet?
Last week was my highest, but not that much higher than my average.
Low week: 38.1 miles for week 4 (only week less than 40 miles)
High week: 45.3 miles for week 7
