Welp, as expected, red cord kicked my ass.

I am encouraged however as my right side responded well and is much stronger than my left.

I thus have three months to address my issues and hopefully hit the ground running when the spring season kicks off next March.

My plan is to do most of the work at home and only go to red cord once per month instead of depending on that stupid thing as I did during MRT.

Hold a plank for 15-20 min. You're welcome.

            From the ACE Fitness blog:

"The plank has become commonplace in many workouts because it helps develop full-body stability and control when moving, shares Jonathan Ross, award-winning personal trainer and author of the book Abs Revealed. But this doesn’t mean that longer plank times will produce better results—in fact, it may not be the best use of the limited training time that most people have.....Instead of devoting a chunk of your workout to holding one plank for an extended period of time, consider honing in on proper alignment and perfecting your plank form to elicit more effective results. If you find that you’re easily able to hold a good plank for 20 to 30 seconds, instead of adding more time, consider adding movement through an assortment of creative plank variations. You cannot get better at moving in life by not moving in your workouts, says Ross. “Longer planks are like staying in first grade forever—it’s like learning the alphabet over and over again.”

Thanks for the hugs and wishes, guys! You are such darlings! And I ate another donut in your honor, just before my appointment.  Soooo... The bad news: I am going to have  surgery again at the end of January, to check the lungs. Then, I may be transferred to the Jewish General, to a lung specialist, and start heavy treatment for lung hypertension. The good news is that my doctor put no restriction on my running and racing. He even said: "It's business as usual for you".  So, I booked my SO and myself for a 4 day trip to Nassau on Jan. 16th, just before the surgery. I also signed up for the marathon that weekend! I once said I'd run 25 of those suckers in my lifetime, and I will, goddammit.

Agreed.  I shall therefore limit my planks to one second each.

The last 3 days have been very busy, Rocky and I ran 5.2 miles yesterday morning and 8 miles this morning.

!BUT even more important than running!

A staff member from First Steps is coming to my house tomorrow for me to fill out papers and set up a time for Dorian's evaluation, yesterday I contacted Dorian's old pediatrician's office ready to pretty much beg for her to take him back only to find out that the termination letter was a mistake at that $55 bill had been paid before the letter was sent out - on other words all this time Dorian was her patient and because I was too stubborn and pissed off at the letter (think it was an excuse to terminate us due to my stance on vaccines)  to push on checking sooner. But all is well in that area now, he's got his first appointment since he was 6 months old next month and he'll be able to start the First Steps classes no problem if he needs to.

Dorian and I will attending play & learn sessions with other kids and parents, most likely weekly (Monday or Wednesday) to socialize him and get him comfortable with other kids and people, along with playdates with family members and close friends.

Compared to Monday, things are really looking better now.
