Allergic Tuesday Penguins (Read 4 times)

Singer who runs a smidge

The "Penguin" daily threads were originally conceived to emphasize that all members of the community have a place on the boards. Encouragement, motivation, a little love nip (you will love one, give it a try!) or even a little kick in the pants when needed -- it can happen here. Basically, we celebrate just getting out there and moving our tails! What is "slow"? "Slow" is a perception but one of the common benchmarks is the 10:00/mi pace; but there's no firm line. In fact, there are many of us that have slipped past this, and just hope that no one notices and revokes their "igloo privileges."  And some penguins don't run at all, we just hang out for the company! It can be confusing for the forum newbies, but we're not one of the teams in any of the fine games. It's a totally open group, so stop lurking, post an introduction of yourself dive in and join the fun! No application necessary! There might even be a lovely picture for Scotty (we love pics!)

When it's all said and done, no one remembers how far we have run.  The only thing that matters is how we have loved.

I backed out of my garage this morning, waved good-bye to DH, and then just sat there for a few seconds watching the pollen swirl through the air.  I figure that's probably why I had a headache all yesterday and why I've felt on the verge of sneezing all morning.  Still, I did get my car washed off during a thunderstorm on the way home yesterday, so that was nice.  And it was cool enough to sleep with the windows open last night.  Which probably doesn't help with the allergy thing, come to think of it.  But, fresh air!!

Funny thing I had a headache most of yesterday also. Usually don't have much of a problem with allergies though but I guess thats what it could have been

Morning!  I have Pilates and 5-6 miles tonight.

HopeMom, ugh, the pollen.  That would explain the headache for sure.

          PAD, nice 11!

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

Allergies are really bad here too. Our car is yellow at the moment. Of course, it's not usually the stuff you see that gets you. While walking Ben, there is one area that sets me to sneezing every time.  I have no idea what it is though.  I was actually happy when it got warm enough to turn on the AC so I could shut the windows, and I love having fresh air in the house.

PaD - nice job on the 11 miles. TM or Trail?

D - I hope you are feeling much better today.  Have fun at Pilates and with your 6 tonight.

AFM:  I'm not sure what I'm doing.  I'd like to go to the nursery to pick up some plants for the garden but we need soil too since our yard is extremely rocky.  I can't lift heavy bags and Jim can't walk ATM, so I'm not sure whether we'll go or not. It's really windy again today, so if I run, it will be later, when/if it calms down.
