Smaller By The Day
2014 may be a year when I could do this. I would want to share this Adventure with my older sister and she is doing her 1st 50 miler this June. I may run this by my sister and my wife and see what they think.
T-Rod, I'd run it with you. That would be awesome.

Doug, you are evil and a bad influence, and I love that about you. If this was closer hot me, I'd be seriously tempted.

~How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were supposed to be?~
Nothing says, "Fun for the whole family", like Des Moines, IA.
We were running through a park. Eagles were spotted!
I like all of Iowa that I've experienced, but that's just me. I'm not sure how I'd sell it to someone else. I personally, love the World's Largest Truck Stop on I-80.
I think I passed that on the way.
Don't just pass it. Grab lunch, and check out some of the trinkets. It's pretty awesome in it's own way.
Drink up moho's!!
24 Hours at Sunset is 6 miles from my house so I might be there as well. Course is almost all grass / trail. Expect a few rolling hills though, but not bad.
That sunset run looks fun!
Take Charge. Train Harder. Suck Less. No Excuses.
And a beaver. Though he wasn't very healthy-looking.
I think Des Moines has a children's museum, and there is Living History Farms just outside of town.
20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

I forgot about the beaver!
Can't add anything to the discussion of sights. All I saw was Wal-Mart and the local running store.
Here is a rough track of the loop at Sunset (Party at the Park) along with an elevation profile.

You know, it was actually a really pretty park! The eagles were awesome. And hey, Starbucks wasn't too far away either. I sat and drank a beer at sunset and looked out at the lake.
Really though, the company was the best part.
Running is dumb.
