Singer who runs a smidge
The "Penguin" daily threads were originally conceived to emphasize that all members of the community have a place on the boards. Encouragement, motivation, a little love nip (you will love one, give it a try!) or even a little kick in the pants when needed -- it can happen here. Basically, we celebrate just getting out there and moving our tails! What is "slow"? "Slow" is a perception but one of the common benchmarks is the 10:00/mi pace; but there's no firm line. In fact, there are many of us that have slipped past this, and just hope that no one notices and revokes their "igloo privileges." And some penguins don't run at all, we just hang out for the company! It can be confusing for the forum newbies, but we're not one of the teams in any of the fine games. It's a totally open group, so stop lurking, post an introduction of yourself dive in and join the fun! No application necessary! There might even be a lovely picture for Scotty (we love pics!)
When it's all said and done, no one remembers how far we have run. The only thing that matters is how we have loved.
Still sick, and the AC died in the lab around 1 AM, so it was 94 when we came in this morning. Luckily it looks like a simple reset, but that will affect the instruments all day.
Meh.
Thankfully I asked off for Monday, so 4-day weekend for me!!

HopesMom, ugh, that sounds horrible. Maybe you can just leave and sacrifice yourself for the instruments?

We'll see. They just replaced a condensation pump on the AC, so it should start cooling off. I have a service engineer here still, and I'm waiting on a guy to come pick up a jump drive. But if she finishes and he shows up, I might bail early. My tech is leaving at 1:00, so if everything gets done before then and it cools off in here, I might just savor the peace and quiet!
Well, it looks like changing the condensate pump on my AC didn't fix the problem. My service engineer is done, but I still need to be around (sweating) while the facilities dude works more on the AC. He's figuring a couple of hours ... well, we'll see.
HsM, that sounds like no fun at all! Maybe you can take a long, air-conditioned lunch between the two visits?
HM - I hope you got your AC fixed before the weekend. Not a great Friday for you.
