6 really nice miles that made me remember why I keep doing this running thing. The only icky moment was running over the used condom in the road
I am just brainstorming stuff. Part of it is the perspective I got as a back of the packer on Sunday. I ended up running near a bunch of people who I knew who were just thrilled to be able to be out there and cover the distance at all. Somebody PRed with a 3:00, for example. And here I am, signed up for a marathon and thinking maybe DNS because I'd be too slow? When a couple of years ago I could not have finished, at any pace!
There will be no racing, that's for sure. And I don't want to walk the whole thing, because that sounds horrible. But if I think I can manage to finish without pain (well, other than the normal marathon pain), then dammit, I should do it.
Mind you, my run tonight was horrible. Horrible. So we will see.
