SaturDAILIES: Hurry up and wait (Read 42 times)

LRB

Nine miles on a cold but sunny day.  I still find it hard to breathe when it's much below 30.  I don't know if it's the dry air or the rhinitis.  I am ready for spring to arrive.

It's nice when it's sunny, can't wait till it's sunny and 40. Three weeks till spring!

10.83. I don't know that I ever was more than a mile from my house. I did a couple of out and backs on different roads that don't see much traffic, so I could run in the street. Not the most exciting run, but felt nice to be outside. At least until the last 20 minutes or so when the sun started going down.

Little Blue, hope the back feels better. I've had random back issues since college--the first one was brought on by sitting and tying my shoes.

After yesterday's workout, I can imagine.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

Despite the emptiness in my log, I ran 16 miles. 3 of them at MP.

Oh gawd... I have to run... The thought makes me want to puke. When it starts feeling like a chore, maybe it's time for a new hobby. Macramé? Mall walking? Bingo? So many tempting options at the moment.

You live close to the Adirondacks ... so start on climbing the 46 (high peaks) like many of your fellow Canadians.  And when you finish you get a patch!!  (www.adk46er.org)  Climb them in winter and get a winter rocker to go with your patch.

4 miles tonight in 32 degreees, raining, and some icy spots. The run felt good. It was the first time that I felt like I could easily hold my pace for more miles. It felt so good that i sped up and ran the final mile in 7:44. I finally felt like a runner again.
