What: Through the Woods 5KWhen: Saturday, November 2, 2013Where: Parkville Nature Sanctuary, Parkville, MOWeather: 44F and breezyGoal: Beat last year's time of 29:32Finish: 27:40Placement: 3rd overallI really wasn't planning to race this 5K, but as you'll see from the RR (if you read it), I was kind of forced to. I am glad that I ran the race and the fast people were elsewhere. Woohoo! You placed in the overall! Who cares how small a race it was - bask in the glory of that medal!
granite_running - Thanks! I'm definitely basking in it.
3rd place male- nice! Congratulations to you on being able to rally and race this so soon after the Equalizer! How funny that everyone there was sort of expecting other people to line up at the front, but nobody did! You must have looked fast, that's why they lined up behind you.
I have a Chico bag and really like it. We have a plastic bag ban here, so it's good to have it with me for those quick trips into the store when I haven't planned ahead.
Zelanie - Thanks! Maybe they thought I was fast since I was one of, if not the only person in shorts & a short sleeve shirt. I have never even heard of a chico bag before getting this one.
Smaller By The Day
DUDE! 3rd overall, and beating your time from last year by 2 minutes is a pretty darn good day. Congratulations.
