I was inspired by your success with it!
I am flattered. Thank you.

Definitely true. I also think that if you are someone whose half marathon pace and easy pace are not so far apart, it is easier to handle a plan like this (I don't know if that's you)
Nope, not anymore.
Are you new at this?
lol
I ran 9 with 2x2k with 2 min, 2x1k with 1 min, and 2x400m with 1 min at the indoor track, with URP. He was slightly ahead and pushing the pace on the 2ks but then fell off on the 1ks
I slogged through 4.5 miles this morning, and it even drizzled on me. Heaven.
Now off to catch up on what I missed today in the dailies.
Nice work
Dave
The McMillian calc seems to give around 20 seconds difference between 10k and HMP with HMP-10 sec being around 15k pace
I wonder what speed range that's based on. For example, for me the Reigel predicted 10k pace based off my HM is a 27 second spread. For the world record half marathon and 10k road run, the actual spread is 9 seconds. McMillan must be using some point in between me and the elites to give it a 20 second spread.
You can plug a bunch of numbers into the McMillan calculator and find out!
Are we there, yet?
I think you need to get down to about a 36:00 10K before the pace spread is only 20 seconds.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour
06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
This checks out: 5:48/6:08.
Interestingly, the calculator says my spread based on 10k PR should be 24 seconds to HM, and it is in fact 24 seconds.
20 seconds. LOLOL. I have about 40 seconds between 5k to 10k and 10k to HM. And then 2 minutes between HM & M. Oh, and about 1:40 between mile & 5k.
